Job Description:

the specialized supplier of quality mobile electronics
systems.
Alpine Electronics of America, Inc is seeking an
experienced Junior Supply Chain Planner to join our team
in the McAllen, TX office. The Junior Supply Chain
Planner will assist in planning and analyzing inventory
levels based on customer requirements while
communicating with all departments involved to ensure
customer demand is met at minimum excess costs.
This position will work under the close direction of
planners and management to assist in the following job

duties:

  • Plan optimum inventory level based on customer
demand and sales forecast.
  • Issue orders (PO and OF) to offshore (Mexico or
Asian) production plants, by using SAP planning
system.
  • Issue PO and check each PO delivery due date and
negotiate with offshore production plant to ensure
timely delivery of goods to cover all customer
demand.
  • Analyze inventory levels and customer requirements
to ensure on time delivery in house and to customers
with minimal to no excess premium costs.
  • Communicate with OEM Customer to verify their
delivery requirement and negotiate as needed.
  • Prepare reports for Supply Chain Supervisor or
higher management and headquarter executives.
  • Maintain continuous communication with Sales Group
to ensure proper customer requirements are being
communicated and met.
  • Request/maintain adequate material set ups in a
timely manner to ensure all data is available for
system to process accurate planning for customer
requirement.
  • Provide short term planning support for OEM business
units / prepare result & forecast data to assist
their planning.
  • Maintain good communication with Sales
Administration to ensure customer requirements are
met in timely manner.
  • Communicate with Logistics to give priority to any
material not meeting agreed delivery date.
  • Perform special projects as needed, i.e. KAIZEN
(improvement) activities at logistics / operations /
warehouse and minimize cost of irregular workload.
  • Ensure punctual attendance per defined work schedule
and comply with the attendance policy for time
reporting, break periods, and overtime if
applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
An Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of
education and general work experience.
0-1 years of general work experience. Possess a moderate
understanding of the supply chain process.

The selected candidate should have:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
and Power Point
  • Strong work ethics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both
written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to
handle multiple tasks.
  • Should be a self-motivated team player who
demonstrates initiative and flexibility.
  • General knowledge of the automotive industry and
standard business practices in a supply chain
environment.
