Under limited supervision, performs full/routine secretarial duties to include scheduling appointments/meetings, typing correspondence, ordering supplies, organizing and maintaining files. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Performs multitask duties to ensure efficiency in day-to-day business operations. These duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory guidelines and the Grady Health System’s philosophy, policies and procedures. Answer the telephone courteously, timely and professionally. Screens calls and directs callers as appropriate and record messages accurately and in a timely manner. Accurately types a full range of correspondence, letters, memoranda, reports, process maps, forms, meeting minutes, policies and procedures and other materials.
Maintains adequate inventory of office supplies and maintains paperwork, e.g., on-line verification of orders, requisitions, invoices, etc., for tracking and reconciliation purposes. Upon receipt of supplies, organize and store appropriately and timely to ensure professional office appearance.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelors Degree strongly preferred
- One to three years secretarial experience required
- Must accurately type 50 wpm
- Advanced ability to operate computer software packages (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access etc.)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (oral and written) preferred
