Pacira Pharmaceuticals currently has an opening for an HR Coordinator.
The Human Resources Coordinator supports the Human Resources Business Partner in providing a high level of administrative support in various functional areas of Human Resources including, but not limited to, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, training and special projects.
  • Provide general HR transactional support to the HR Business Partner; prepare correspondence, announcements and powerpoint presentations for the HRLT
  • Support benefits administration as the primary contact for HQ and the field organization and assist new hires with benefit enrollment; respond to inquiries regarding benefits coverage and claim issues; partner with benefits broker and contracted insurance vendors, as required
  • Process FMLA and disability claims for HQ and the field organization per state and federal laws
  • Process onboarding of all new hires for HQ and the field organization; schedule and conduct new hire and benefits orientation; enter all employee data into our HRIS system; set-up new hires cubicles/offices
  • Monitor weekly carrier connection reports to insure that data errors are researched and corrected to avoid interruption of coverage or funds and bi-weekly payroll reports to ensure accuracy of payroll and benefits deductions
  • Process off-boarding including exit paperwork, scheduling exit interviews and the return of IT equipment for field personnel
  • Set up COBRA subsidies and monitor COBRA benefits
  • Schedule conferences/meetings and internal/off-site facilities
  • Order and post current employment law posters; maintain government required forms
  • Coordinate and distribute the HR Update Newsletter
  • Maintain current and terminated employee I-9 documents in compliance with applicable federal and state laws
  • Oversee Concur administration including new account set up and terminations; respond to all expense and account related inquiries
  • Plan and coordinate HQ annual employee events
  • Generate on demand and monthly reports from Concur and ADP WFN as requested; produce reports and org charts using Excel, Word, Org Plus and Visio
  • Provide customer service by answering employee requests and questions
    The qualified candidate will possess the following:
    Bachelor degree from accredited college or university preferred.
    Minimum 4 years’ experience in Human Resources support role in a corporate environment, preferably in a publically held company.
  • Excellent skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook and the internet
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities, set priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proven excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated executive level administrative support skills including filing; scheduling, answering internal and external phone calls, copying and scanning
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources terms and practices; familiarity with hiring and termination practice and records maintenance; pharmaceutical industry experience a plus
