Primary responsibilities of this full-time position are:
Lead initiatives related to human resources management
Create, update, maintain and enforce policies, procedures, compensation plan, performance evaluation processes, ensure legal compliance and safety tracking and training
Coordinating a green career pipeline that attracts and cultivates future employees of the Center and/or similar types of organizations
Develops, supports and oversees cultural competency goals, such as equity, dignity and inclusion audits, training and coaching, recruitment, hiring, on-boarding, staff orientation, and cultivating an intentional organizational culture
Upholds and enforces an organizational culture that values philanthropy, learning, ecological sustainability, cultural competency and safety.
Works closely with the HR department to ensure that information systems, including the Center s BambooHR system and the electronic employee resource information, are up to date with hiring, onboarding training, diversity tracking and other related employee information
Reports to the Senior Director of Education and Strategic Planning, and is part of the Center s management team, the Planeteers.
High degree of autonomy and responsibility, as well as engagement with the HR committee of the Board of Directors
An ideal candidate will have:
At least 4 years experience with a variety of HR administration responsibilities
Desire to learn and grow as a manager
Starting salary is $45,000 and benefits are generous.
