Engineering Test Lab Supervior Jobs Vacancy in Saft America Jacksonville Jobs Details:
Supervise all activities in the Battery Test Center (BTC) via managing and guiding a team of junior and senior technicians in testing and validation of batteries, electronics, electrical systems and mechanical assemblies with respect to technical requirement, design quality, product, and costs, according to Jax Engineering processes and building blocks. The incumbent will generate and maintain test schedules and equipment utilization through the use of PPM tools and report the status and issues directly to the Certification Manager, working also with the Program Managers to resolve scheduling conflicts with BTC resources. The incumbents education and experience provide technical expertise/independence in electrical and electronic, and systems troubleshooting, analysis, resolution of technical issues; review of designs and documentation; component sourcing based on product specification. The incumbent provides technical depth in mechanical and electrical design as well as software analysis. The incumbent will lead and/or support prototype build, test, and analyze in support of product development.
Manages all lab activities, equipment lists and calibration, test bench and test schedules
Supports electrical/mechanical designs through problem solving support, design documentation support, product lab testing, and expertise in lab test tools
Support the production line for trouble shooting
Supports configuration management and design standards for the engineering teams. Which will include but not limited to, electrical system specification generation support, electrical schematics, and system architecture.
Writing Digatron, Arbin, and Bitrode and other test equipment programs for the completion of acceptance and validation testing from industry standards such as IEEE, IEC, UL etc.
Perform functional and validation and development testing on various Energy Storage systems setups. Must have the ability to reconfigure rack setup based upon test requirements and generate electrical schematics to represent configuration
Provides support for development of processes and procedures for circuit and power design and provides expertise in technical decisions.
Establish the transfer of the technical dossier to engineering
Contribute to a continuous improvement promotion within the unit.
Education: 5-10 years hands on experience testing electronics, batteries, software, systems or related technical products. Or 2+ years experience testing electronics, batteries, software, systems or related technical products while studying for a pertinent 4 year Engineering Bachelors degree such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrochemical Engineering, etc. or as approved by management.
Experience: Associates degree plus 2 years of related experience or 7+ years of experience in electronic circuits, industrial equipment and/or power design. Proven track record running projects in Electrical, Electronics and Systems manufacturing, troubleshooting or prototype builds. Managing or supervising teams and/or organizing tasks in test disciplines. In addition, understanding AutoCAD Electrical or willingness to learn may be required. Must have full understanding of 5S and be extremely detail oriented and able to establish a good group working relationships in a fast paced and changing environment.
