Brigham's Playhouse Description
Brigham's Playhouse is entering in its fifth year of operation. It is in the beautiful St. George, Utah area situated in a charming "Old West" setting called Cotton Town Village. Brigham's Playhouse is touted as "Southern Utah's most intimate professional theatre" with it's small stage, 200-seat theatre, state of the art lighting & sound, and powerfully trained actors. The theatre produces 8 productions with a total 182 performances annually, operating 12 months a year & 3 days per week (Thursday - Saturday).
Brigham's Playhouse is named after and practices theatre in the tradition of that great settler of the West, Brigham Young, who taught, "Upon the stage of a theater can be represented in character, evil and its consequences, good and its happy results and rewards; the weakness and the follies of man, the magnanimity of virtue and the greatness of truth. The stage can be made to aid the pulpit in impressing upon the minds of a community an enlightened sense of a virtuous life."
