The Land O’Lakes Supply Chain & Operations division provides strategic leadership across the company’s many business units. The team plays a significant role in fueling revenue growth and profitability through operational excellence, quality, process improvement and innovation. By partnering closely with Finance, Marketing and Human Resources, the team delivers value to Land O’Lakes business units, members and customers.
Our Animal Feed Manufacturing plant in Lancaster, PA is a small feed mill, which is an excellent first Plant Manager position if you have previously been a Production Supervisor or Operations Manager. We want to help you learn how to be a Plant Manager so that you can grow your career with us.
As our Plant Manager, you will provide overall direction for the facility in the areas of safety, quality, service and overall plant efficiencies. Responsible for driving results: improved performance, customer relationships, plant asset utilization and positive employee relations.
Other responsibilities include:
developing and executing the site budget within corporate guidelines. Providing strategic direction. Managing all plant resources to optimize profitability to meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations. Creating a positive work environment that supports continuous improvement, reinforces company philosophy and policies and diverse and inclusive workforce. Develop the skills and capabilities of both salaried and hourly team members.
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Engineering or a related degree required. We are seeking 3+ years manufacturing experience with a proven history of delivering strong operating results.
Must have strong leadership capabilities, excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong positive employee relation skills, project
management capabilities, the ability to diagnose operational inefficiencies, analyze operational budgets, facilitate teams and drive overall plant operational improvements. Strong computer skills.
Four year degree and 5+ years of leadership experience in a Food/Feed manufacturing environment.
Advanced Safety training, HACCP training/certifications, continuous improvement skills, strong work ethic, above average organizational skills, strong computer skills,ability to train and engage employees.
