Characteristics of the Job :

Provides overall management for all sections and units within an administrative branch; and performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirement - Education :

Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

Minimum Requirement - Experience :

Must have five years of professional administrative experience.

Substitute Education for Experience :

A master's degree in public or business administration or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Substitute Experience for Education :

Additional administrative or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year for year basis.

Description of Job Duties

Provides overall management for the Procurement, Issue/Disbursement & Disposal of all property received by Kentucky State Police (KSP), to include all forfeited property under Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS) 218a, (KRS) 500 and( KRS) 16; Manages Personnel Engaged In the Procurement, Issue and Disposal of All State-Owned Property. Coordinates with the Supply Branch Commander, agency Financial & Grants Management Branch, and State Finance Cabinet in the establishment and administration of Master Agreements. Create, monitor and approve eMars documents pertaining to Supply Branch transactions, ensuring accuracy and steady workflow. Ensure all agency property is properly assigned to a custodian and entered in Supply inventory; provide oversight and management of the agency Inventory Management System (IMS). Ensure agency property is disposed of according to Kentucky Revised Statutes/Kentucky Administrative Regulations (KRS/KAR). Manage the auction/disposal of all forfeited weapons according to (KRS). Maintain records of the weapon sales and provide oversight for the auction process. Coordinates the fixed asset annual inventory and end of year closeout for the agency. Performs other duties as assigned.

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting. Minimal travel may be required.
