is seeking a full-time Coding Compliance Specialist
(working Claims Denial)
for our Billing office in Knoxville, TN
Under minimal supervision, assists with company internal audit activities including review of the individual offices monthly charge analysis reports and assists office staff with the reconciliation of those reports. Reviews and compares posted charges against daily activity reports generated from Pharmacy medication management system to maximize charge capture. Supports and adheres to Tennessee Cancer Specialists Code of Ethical Conduct and Compliance policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Audits medical records to ensure compliance with the organization's coding procedures and standards
? Reviews insurance payments and denials and recommends billing corrections
? Reviews monthly charge capture analysis reports to identify missed revenue
? Works with individual offices to reconcile and recover any missed revenue identified by the charge capture analysis reports
? Audits daily activity reports generated by Pharmacy medication management system for all sites to compare drug dosages dispensed to charges billed for services to maximize charge capture.
? Assists in establishing action plans for problem sites and follows up to ensure implementation of improvements.
? Assesses site-specific procedures to ensure revenue/charge capture
? Summarizes audit findings and preliminary recommendations for management review
? Trains staff members on the coding process
? Maintains confidentiality in regards to patient account status and the financial affairs of clinic/corporation
