Job Description
As a member of the Watson Health team you will join us in our mission to improve lives and give hope by delivering innovative solutions that address the world’s most pressing health challenges through data and cognitive insights. As a Watson Health Strategic Seller you will be selling solutions that will transform healthcare with cognitive computing. You will be an industry expert, someone who is looked upon to lead the way and navigate change. You will be tasked with driving cross and upsell opportunities into key accounts. You will act as a voice of the customer to offering management and sales leaders. The Strategic Seller will be the WH leader for the account, partnering with IBM Global Market Sales Leaders to drive growth.

Working under minimal supervision, this position, The Strategic Seller,
is an enterprise level, direct contributor sales position responsible for selling all Watson Health solutions across large Healthcare Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNS) throughout a global geography. The Strategic Seller will work directly with named IDNS to understand their current business requirements around both departmental and enterprise wide visions including, but not limited to: Cognitive and Artificial Intelligence assistance platforms, Enterprise Data Management, Value-Based Care, Population Health, Oncology, Genomics, Clinical Trials Matching, Infrastructure and Storage requirements, SaaS, Global Financing and Consulting Services.

The Strategic Seller will represent Watson Health and provide leadership within the account, spearhead strategic opportunities, while guiding and working directly with product specific Regional Sales Managers and Sales Consultants.

Essential Job Duties
Working with the world’s leading companies to transform key business functions with data and cognitive insights
Net New Business Development
Account planning and lead generation to identify additional contacts/buyers
Defining and delivering the value proposition for cognitive solutions and data
Leading the negotiation of pricing, terms and conditions, and other key agreement components
Managing the client relationship from ideation to implementation
Applying your functional and healthcare expertise and your passion to help our clients transform every part of their core business.
Being part of a high performing team that is at the forefront of the cognitive computing era in Healthcare.
Leading and closing large deals that require C-suite alignment and engagement.
Increase bookings and revenue targets YOY

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Minimum 5+years of sales experience
Experience in Large Pharma or Healthcare combined with experience in venture capital or private equity
Proven ability within a complex sales cycle, to sell the value of solutions through a consultative approach to the C-Suite of Hospitals: CEO, CFO, COO, CMO, CIO, CMIO, Chief Quality, Chief Oncologist, Chief Marketing, Chief Radiologist, Chief Cardiologist, Chief of Innovation, etc.
Experience with complex systems and long sales cycles
Creative Deal Making Experience

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

Ideal candidate would have experience in selling complex enterprise solutions in the C-Suite
Present with confidence, the ability to perform successful contract negotiations
Establish a firm understanding of healthcare industry trends
