POSITION SUMMARY:

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Coordinate benefit enrollments and communicate with service providers concerning routine administration of programs.

  • Assure compliance with COBRA guidelines by reporting COBRA events to third party administrator; receive and record COBRA insurance premium payments.

  • Administer the recruitment process by determining applicant qualifications by studying job description and job qualifications; analyzing the information provided on a prospective employee’s application screening and interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; comparing qualifications to job requirements; verifying references, education and background.

  • Arrange interviews by coordinating schedules; arranging travel and lodging; escorting applicant to interviews; and arranging community tours.

  • Maintain current knowledge of employment law and best practices in such areas as Equal Employment Opportunities (EEO) and Affirmative Action and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

  • Execute the Employment Contingency Process, including background investigations, pre-employment testing and reference checks, and determine employment candidate’s eligibility for employment.

  • Administer the Onboarding and Orientation process.

  • Coordinate Workers’ Compensation (WC) claims with injured worker and WC carrier.

  • Compose, proofread, edit, approve and disseminate all corporate correspondence to associates.

  • Maintain files such as recruitment, personnel, benefit and leave files in compliance with retention guidelines and applicable legal requirements.

  • Perform employee relations functions, including but not limited to: coaching, counseling, and maintaining and coordinating employee recognition program and employee events.

  • Completes special projects by clarifying project objectives, setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, developing and organizing information and fulfilling transactions.

  • Enter data and maintain information in corporate databases such as the Company’s Human Resources Information System.

A well-qualified candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university or four (4) to six (6) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two (2) to four (4) years of Human Resources Experience required.

  • Intermediate level of skill with Microsoft Office suite including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.

  • Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment in planning, prioritizing and organization of a diversified workload.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally once a week, minimally; attend career fairs within neighboring counties, as needed; and travel overnight to attend Sales Meetings two (2) to three (3) times a year.
