Data Collector Jobs Vacancy in Trax Test Services Yuma Proving Ground Jobs Details:
Applies mechanical and technical knowledge to perform all phases of technical test data observation and recording in support of engineering projects. Requires use of standardized, but varied, military technical manuals. Collects field data consisting of maintaining an accurate and detailed chronological record of all test item operations and maintenance related data. From the field data obtained, prepares standardized Test Incident Reports (TIRs). Also prepares and maintains test mileage, test hours, and other summaries to track test progress. Works first, second, and third shifts as necessary to meet specific test needs. Perform other duties as required to complete assigned mission.
Pay Rate: $17.73 - $18.97/hour, DOE
Shifts/Hours: Vary by mission requirement.
•Must be a U.S. Citizen and not hold multiple citizenships.
•Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
•Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
•Must be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
•Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice, to support test missions.
•Must have dependable transportation and a dependable means of communication.
•Must be able speak, write, read, and understand English.
•Must have a well-mannered customer service attitude.
•Must be willing to cross-train in other areas.
•Must use “down-time” effectively to the benefit of test, self, and company.
•Must be punctual, responsible, and dependable.
•Must demonstrate motivation, initiative, and reliability.
•Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.
•Must have a demonstrated ability to follow instructions and company policy.
•Must be able to deliver quality products to the customer and be responsive to their needs.

•Must have at least 60 college credit hours OR an Associate's degree OR a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Degrees in English, Journalism, Education, or other related fields are desired, but not required. College degrees and credits earned must be issued by a college or school that has been granted accreditation by a regional accrediting agency.
•Must be able to work all shifts and overtime to support test missions.
•Must demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
•Must demonstrate effective communication in English on a professional level, both verbally and in writing.
•Must be able to work in a team setting, maintaining a professional relationship with all team members, as well as other coworkers, in and outside of your immediate work area.
•Must pass a pre-hire Data Collector Skills Test, including areas such as computer skills, writing ability, spelling, etc.
•Must demonstrate capability to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
•Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds.
•Must be able to enter, exit and climb on and under test vehicles of various configurations, some in excess of 10 feet off the ground.
•Must be able to work long and varied hours in extreme weather conditions.
•Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
•Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.
•Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
•Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined, performed, and stated in the SOPs for the Data Acquisition section.
•Possess a 2 or 4 year college degree in English, Journalism, Mechanical Arts or a related field.
•Post High School English credits.
