Pay Grade 15 (MIN-MID) $38,770.08 - $51,361.20 yearly at 37.5 hour work week OR $41,354.64 - $54,785.28 yearly at 40 hour work week
Characteristics of the Job :
Provides consultative services to Social Service Workers/Clinicians. Provides intensive family services through the assessment of client needs and the provision of multifaceted services OR plans, coordinates, evaluates and/or monitors a social service program area on a statewide basis OR plans and organizes all program activities for special health care needs children in a defined geographic region; and performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirement - Education :
A master's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, marriage and family therapy or a related field.
Minimum Requirement - Experience :
Must have three years of professional social work experience.
Substitute Education for Experience :
Substitute Experience for Education :
A bachelor's degree supplemented by five years of professional social work experience will substitute for the primary education and experience requirements.
Special Requirements :
If appointed to the Cabinet for Families and Children or to the Department of Juvenile Justice, an employee in this job title must furnish to the appointing authority within one month of appointment documentation that he/she possesses a valid driver'slicense and must maintain a valid driver's license for the length of employment in this job title.

Description of Job Duties
This position may be located in any of the counties in Northern Bluegrass Service Region, which are Boone, Bourbon, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Harrison, Kenton, Nicholas, Owen, Pendleton, and Scott.
Provide consultative services and assistance to Social Services Workers and Clinicians. Provides services through the assessment of client needs, plans, coordinates, evaluates, and monitors the federally funded Chafee Independence Program within a specific geographic region. Develops plans for youth to ensure skills necessary for obtaining employment and education are mastered while providing guidance, direction, and assistance to ensue successful transition to independence. Comply with National Youth in Transition Database (NYTD) requirements to complete reports, case recordings, documentation, and surveys within time-specified deadlines. Provide assistance to youth in the process of or who have transitioned from out-of-home care including home visits with youth in college and/or independent living placements, tuition waiver, referrals to housing, health services, or other services as needed. Coordinate and teach independent living classes including creating training manuals, workbooks, and packets. Perform day-today administrative functions such as maintaining files and processing paperwork, and other duties as required.
