Characteristics of the Job :

Provides administrative support services to a division director. Provides technical management assistance to organizational units within the division. Performs the duties of the director in her/his absence; and performs other duties as required.

Minimum Requirement - Education :

Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

Minimum Requirement - Experience :

Must have four years of administrative or management experience.

Substitute Education for Experience :

A master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Substitute Experience for Education :

Additional administrative, management or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year- for-year basis.

Description of Job Duties

Provides administrative support to the Division Director by providing technical management assistance to organizational unites within the Division. Provides technical assistance and consultation to regions. Performs the duties of the Director in their absence. Provides supervision to and assists in defining and meeting program goals and problem areas for the program branches. Facilitates implementation of the Children and Family Services Plan and coordinates efforts wit the Workers Information System (iTWIST). Provides staff with insight regarding Managed Care Organization policy and practices. Reviews program and management issues that cross organizational lines and makes recommendations or reports. Acts as liaison to community partners. Monitors efforts to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Performs other duties as assigned.

Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting. Minimal travel may be required.
