The Hospitality Solutions D&A (Hospitality Solution Data and Analytics) product development team is responsible for developing Data products and building analytical solutions that power the core SHS applications such as the Central Reservation System & Property Management System. This team specifically works on sourcing data from multiple sources and building high power analytical systems using advanced machine learning algorithms for multiple use cases such as guest segmentation, rate anomaly detection, guest insights etc.
We are looking for a candidate to join this fast-paced team with both educational and professional experience in advanced analytics. The ideal candidate must be very curious and passionate about data & analytics and have the skill set to analyze data and build out algorithms to provide the right level of data insights for building intelligence in the transactional systems.
Advanced Analytics / Data Science Developer
Work on the Data and Analytics team to build the machine learning algorithms for multiple advanced analytics use cases including anomaly detection, classification and clustering using advanced techniques, predictive and recommendation models
Leverage state-of-the-art data processing tools and/or analytical methodologies to drive improved decisions
Develop and/or implement various types of predictive models, segmentation strategies, optimization algorithms, and data mining analyses with a targeted result of increasing revenue
Work closely with business and technology teams to identify use cases for advanced analytics
Work with architects to implement the results in a micro-services architecture for injection into transactional applications
Masters / Phd in Advanced analytics / Data science or Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research Information Systems or similar analytic/data intensive subject area – or the acquisition of such skills through professional experience
Experience in developing or enhancing machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms using Python, R, Spark on Big Data & Cloud based technologies
Experienced in descriptive analytics and data visualization using Tableau, Shiny etc.
Hands on experience with Apache Spark, Python and R for building models
Experience in working with distributed computing i.e. Hive SQL, Pig, Java Map/Reduce, Apache Spark
Data wrangling experience
Expertise in machine learning, statistics, data analysis
Must have an excellent knowledge of advanced methods, and experience in applying those methods to a variety of problems
Solid grasp of probability, statistical or mathematical modeling with analytical and quantitative problem-solving ability.
Experience in some of the common ML methods including Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, SVM, KNN, K-Means, Naïve Bayes etc. is a must have.
Demonstrated experience in applying machine learning to real-world problems
‘Nice to have’ skills:
Experience in AWS Cloud based services like S3 (storage), Lambda , Aurora DB , Redshift
Experience in Deep Learning methodologies is a definite plus
Big Data ecosystem (Hadoop, Impala, Vertica, Elastic Search, NoSQL, HBase/Cassandra/Mongo DB) to derive insights/analytics from Big Data
Experience with Scrum methodology
