An exciting opportunity has become available for a sales professional join UBM working on UBM Asia's Jewellery and Gem events.
Working in our New Hyde Park, Long Island office, the Event Sales Executive will be handling telemarketing projects for trade shows organized by UBM Asia. They will generate sales leads from competitors’ trade shows domestically and internationally to prospect, follow up and close booth and advertisement sales as well as providing exceptional customer service to our client base. Domestic and International Travel is required.

The Event Sales Executive will be handling existing clients' contract renewals, follow up, close sales and payment collection on all booth sales, advertisement sales (print & online) and recruiting new clients to generating new sales revenue through cold calling and prospecting at trade shows. Domestic and International Travel is required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attending trade shows to prospect and identify new customers (exhibitors, advertisers, buyers)
- Follow up on existing accounts by booking booth space and onsite/print/online advertisement at the same time to grow new business by upsell the existing clients through trade show visits to achieve group revenue target.
- Travel abroad for trade shows that are organized by UBM mostly in Hong Kong and China, as well as competitors’ trade show within US when is necessary.
- Assisting Sales Manager to lead the sales & Marketing support team and coordinating with temps on all promotional activities.
- 1-2 years Sales related experiences.
- Good and Clear Communication skills both verbal and written, proficient in Outlook and office (Word, Excel, PPT)
- Knowledge and some experiences in database management (Salesforce); can be trained.
- Great interpersonal skills, bilingual in Mandarin, Chinese will be a plus but not required.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and be flexible to multi-task.
- Domestic and International Travel is required.
