Sr. Payroll Manager
New York & Company- Finance
The individual must possess a good attitude toward working with others and must also maintain flexibility and prove able to handle frequent changes in practice and environment.
Review daily PAF’s New Hires/Terminations/Position /Rate changes, etc
Enter/update employee tax status/withholding as needed
Validate timekeeping hours against Ad Hoc reporting address any discrepancies and make all necessary corrections
Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
Process all pay adjustments and verify calculation prior to processing payroll
Review/reconciliation of quarterly tax and wage reports
Initiate/change direct deposit request
Prepare manual checks
Check distribution – bound by store and placed in the appropriate mail units
Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests to all employees and business partners.
Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures
Experience with Time Keeping /Payroll software (Lawson a Plus)
Minimum one year payroll department experience
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Written and Verbal)
Computer Literacy (MS Office applications)
Reliable and dependable
Flexible work schedule during heavy volume period Strong work ethic and team player
High school diploma/GED required (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field a plus)
