What you’ll do on a typical day:
Report to the Director of Operations Support on the operational performance capability enhancement team; work closely with leadership, other project managers, and HR to design and implement the training program
Develop collaborative working relationships with business partners and senior-level leadership
Cultivate communications and collaborative support with all departments and team members; provide leadership in change management
Be an advocate for continuous process improvement; drive implementation efforts ensuring all logistics for trainees are adequately planned and communicated
Create and maintain project schedules and commitments
Provide weekly status updates the executive leadership team on the critical measures for the success of the project team
What you need to succeed at XPO:At a minimum, you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or related field, or equivalent work experience
4 years of experience in project management in a distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio)
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including travel up to 50% of the time, occasionally on short notice
It’d be great if you also have:
Experience as a trainer or coach
Database system knowledge
Knowledge of project management tools (i.e. Microsoft Project or Clarizen)
Lean Six Sigma experience
Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong multi-tasking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
