The Employment Specialist will provide and coordinate activities for clients to develop employability skills such as cover letter and resume development, interview skills, and how to dress for an interview. Identify employment opportunities that correspond to the level of skills and education the client. Provide individualized job development strategies to the individual needs of each job seeker. Facilitate job preparation and job seeking activities with clients in both groups and one-on-one. Conduct follow-up with employers/community workforce training providers after each referral. Initiate and maintain consistent communication with clients who are job seeking for the entire duration of job search
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Possess 1 year experience in Career or Workforce Development preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to assist individuals of diverse ethnicities, backgrounds, ages, and sexual preferences.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- A work schedule that includes some weekend and evening hours is required.
