Our Transportation Environmental Planner career path is your opportunity to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects
You will participate in the development of planning studies, NEPA environmental documents, and permitting processes for a variety of transportation related projects in Colorado, Nebraska, and other parts of the Mountain west region. You will be responsible for project management, document preparation, stakeholder coordination, managing the writing and review of technical sections, permit applications, public presentations, will work closely with the engineering team in the development of alternatives, and will interface with clients and participate in developing business for CH2M’s environmental planning practice in Colorado.
Our technologists are leaders within the industry in their area of expertise, and have the opportunity to shape the direction of their field, within CH2M and within the industry. Our technologists are expected to attract, develop, and retain technical talent; ensure quality of projects and efficiency of project delivery; and create market differentiation.
You should have a minimum of 15 years environmental planning work experience, excellent writing and communication skills, and a working knowledge of NEPA requirements for transportation projects. NEPA experience with other Colorado and Nebraska transportation and transit agencies is desirable. Significant contributions to client relationship efforts and public understanding are expected. You should have proven project management and business development skills as well as a desire to grow personally and professionally.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
- Related BS/BA degree
- A minimum of 15 years environmental planning work experience
- Demonstrated experience with CDOT and other transportation and transit agencies.
- Strong working knowledge of NEPA requirements for transportation projects
