We are currently seeking a Temporary Data Entry Specialist in our Healthcare Services department. This position assists staff in loading member demographics, triaging documents to the appropriate team and loading cases for RN/MD review. This position assists our prior authorization coordinators and RN’s complete medical necessity reviews in a timely manner supporting our members to the fullest.

1. High school education or equivalent. 2. 2 - 4 years experience in a medical office and/or insurance experience needed. 3. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. 4. Type a minimum of 35 wpm and 10key proficiency of 135spm on computer number keypad. 5. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including demonstrated business writing and grammar skills. 6. Excellent organizational and detail orientation skills. 7. Must present a professional business image in all settings. 8. Ability to work well under pressure, work with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities. 9. Ability to come to work on time and on a daily basis. 10. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, dealing with all levels of staff, members, providers, in a professional manner. 11. Ability to maintain confidentiality. 12. High level of understanding of medical terminology and coding, state and federal regulations for claims adjudication and provider contracting 13. PC literacy 14. Knowledge of Health Plan benefits. 15. Ability to interpret complex benefit packages and contract language 16. Strong problem solving skills and decision quality preferred 17. Familiar with CMS (Medicare) rules and regulations a plus but not required.
