Summary

The selectee for this position will serve as a Security Specialist in the Information and Personnel Security Office of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.

Responsibilities

The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
Assess disclosure programs and procedures to meet the release of information compliance.

Present information to staff and faculty on program operations.

Draft policies and procedures on the disclosure of controlled unclassified information, equipment, and technology to foreign nationals.

Provide disclosure policy, training and program oversight

Must be a US Citizen.

Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

The position require to complete training as outlined by Navy International Program Office prior to assuming the role and responsibility as foreign disclosure program manager and designated disclosure authority (DDA).

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume is the key means we have for evaluating your skills, knowledge, and abilities as they relate to this position. Therefore, we encourage you to be clear and specific when describing your experience.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advise staff in the area of intelligence oversight; 2)Maintain a database of foreign disclosure actions to assists to assist with reporting requirements and analysis of information release actions; and 3) Review research proposal and contract statements to meet program compliance.

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree.

or

Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.

or

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience must equal 100%.
