Receptionist And Accounting Assistant Jobs Vacancy in People Overland Park Jobs Details:
The Receptionist and Accounting Assistant will welcome customers and vendors that visit the office and be the first responder to all incoming calls. This position will also provide assistance to our Accounting Specialist.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Manage the reception area, greeting guests as they arrive and offering them a beverage, notifying the appropriate employee of their guest and delivering them to their meeting location;
Responsible for answering, screening and directing all incoming calls to the appropriate personnel in a courteous, professional manner using a multi-line phone system and ensuring effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally;
Responsible for assisting Controller with accounts payable
Assists in setting up new clients in the accounting and time tracking system
Assist in reconciling credit card statements – seek additional information internally as needed to reconcile
Oversee and coordinate the set-up, cleaning and catering of the conference room
Acts in a stewardship capacity for the Company, works as a functional member of the team, has ability to self-direct and self-regulate work-day;
Serve as back up to check credentials and facilitate entrance and exit to the building
Other duties as assigned
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum of an Associates Degree in a relevant field of study and 2 years of experience in a similar role, or suitable combination of education and experience;
Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of bookkeeping and accounting; demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of office and facilities coordination knowledge;
Demonstrated organization, facilitation, communication and presentation skills;
Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material and ability to handle multiple, competing and changing priorities; ability to perform effectively without supervision and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines;
Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally, and provide exceptional service, both internally and externally at all times;
Employee should be knowledgeable regarding Microsoft Office, have proficient computer skills, display adaptability in learning the use of company specific software and display comprehension of fundamental computer practices and database management;
All employees are expected to exhibit exemplary customer service skills, both with external customers, vendors, visitors, co-workers, and management staff. Their written and verbal communication skills should be concise and effective, they should aspire to excellence in both work and customer service, they should show courtesy to all they encounter while representing the Company. While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear.
