DEPARTMENT OF ASIAN AND ASIAN AMERICAN STUDIES/ BELLARMINE COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS
The Department of Asian and Asian American Studies is seeking Part-time faculty to teach courses required for a major in Asian and Asian American Studies including Asian Civilizations, Economic and Political Issues of Contemporary Asia, Asian Mythology (up to eight credit hours per semester).

Part-time faculty/ lecturers will instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of the course competencies in the curriculum and proactively support all facets of the learning environment consistent with the university’s mission;
provide education through learning-centered instruction that will enable graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the job market; encourage a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility and respect, life-long learning and ethics as well as personal and professional development.
Under the direction of the departmental chairperson, the part-time lecturer will teach courses in the area of expertise within prescribed curriculum, includes lectures.

PhD in Asian and/or Asian American Studies required; in particular cases exemptions of an M.A. might be considered with outstanding profile, extensive knowledge of Asia is required, at least one year teaching experience at the university level preferred.
