Full Time Floating Teller Jobs Vacancy in Sound Banking Morehead City Jobs Details:
Providing excellent customer service
is imperative to this position as it shapes our customers’ first impression of
the Bank. Performs over-the-counter banking transactions with precision,
efficiency, and promptness. Opens accounts and presents the Bank’s
products and services to new and existing customers.
Communicates with customer to get an understanding of the customers banking
needs and creates an opportunity to promote additional banking
products/services. Delivers superior service to maximize sales, customer
satisfaction and retention. Generates referrals that result in sales for the
Bank. Accurately balances a cash drawer
and shows responsibility in handling cash and Bank securities on a daily basis.
Serves as a floater Teller providing assistance as needed to various branches
in a defined geographic region.
Minimum Education/ Certification: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Additional banking courses through a banking school would be helpful.
Required Knowledge: A general knowledge of basic mathematical calculations and techniques is required. An overall knowledge of typical bank-related products and services is strongly preferred.
Required Experience: A minimum of two years previous exceptional Teller or customer service experience is required. Sales or Customer Service relations experience in dealing with customer assistance and satisfaction.
Preferred Experience: Bank operations exposure would be an asset in understanding why procedures are required.
Required Skills: Strong math skills are required. Manual dexterity and proficiency with a calculator. The ability to balance transactions and utilize strategies for balancing transactions is essential. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees and management. A professional appearance and demeanor is required. Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and various financial-related software.
Preferred Skills: Has the ability to work with coworkers in a team environment and act as a role model for branch staff.
Physical Demands/Work Environment Requirements:
Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, and bend. A valid driver’s license is required and reliable transportation as travel is required. Must have the ability to work the days, hours and travel required to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
Must at all times have a professional demeanor, maintain composer, and avoid aggressive behavior, even in difficult situations. Must have the ability to make decisions and exercise discretion when necessary.
