Part Time Administrative Assistant Jobs Vacancy in Engstrom Inc Richmond Jobs Details:

Part-time position 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Tuesday through Thursday. Duration 7/18 - 11/18 may be extended.

Qualifications:
Basic understanding of the operation of computerized and function-related equipment to record, store and retrieve information. Ability to manage multiple activities and resources. Good oral and written communication skills. Basic personal computer skills including using spreadsheet and word processing applications. Education. High School or GED required.

Responsibilities:
Relocation Team is in need of 4 part time employees to assist with, on an ongoing basis, organizing extra office supplies and surplus goods that are being collected in a staging area at site. As floors clear out their items and prepare to move out of the building, this staging area will hold items that are good enough to donate to non-profit organizations. The office assistants in this area will need to be organized and orderly and help with facilitating the move of these items to needy non-profit partners in the Richmond region. Non-profit partners will provide transportation of the items. Duties to include:

  • Keeping ongoing inventory of office and surplus supplies.
  • Organizing and categorizing office and surplus supplies (will need to be able to lift banker’s boxes)
  • Maintaining spreadsheets with listings of donated items
  • Interfacing with non-profit partners to distribute goods

This role performs entry-level clerical and administrative duties that support specific workflow or phase within a business process. Performs routine and repetitive tasks to support transaction of a part(s) of a business process. Duties include: opening and processing mail remittance, posting data, compiling records and reports in predetermined format, maintains and prepares simple reports and charts, performing simple calculations, etc. Performs general alphabetic and numeric filing, sorting and cross-referencing. Maintains and updates files, records and logs according to established procedures. Ensures information and reports are complete and consistent with specific rules or procedures

Comments/Special Instructions
These positions will be required to lift boxes of offices supplies and other items, sort, categorize and maintain an orderly inventory of potential donated goods. Candidate should be able to maintain a spreadsheet of inventory and be able to answer questions regarding what supplies/potential donated items are available. Candidate will also keep records of all items donated to non-profits for tax purposes.
