CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Enterprise Marketing Communications group. We are looking for a Communications Specialist to work with internal clients to develop and drive communication and business objectives across the company. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with staff at all levels within the organization, and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with tact and diplomacy.
Develop strategic annual communication plans for internal clients and oversee project execution.
Provide support for enterprise marketing communications projects.
Provide collaborative writing, editing and design support for multiple internal CHS clients.
Identify, write, edit, coordinate and produce engaging, relevant content for online and print employee communications vehicles as the main writer for the global employee newsletter and employee intranet.
Maintain strong understanding of communication trends and apply learnings to drive business objectives.
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Basic Qualifications: (required)
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related business program
5 plus years communications experience, to include:
Organizational communication, PR, or marketing communications.
Multiple communication channel (print, online, social media).
Corporate environment with internal & external employee communications, in multiple locations. Preferred Qualifications: (desired)
Agriculture or Energy industry experience.
Experience using Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop or other design software.
Experience communicating messages for a non-profit or foundation.
Experience with communicating political advocacy work and/or technology related issues.
