University Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Clinical Associate psychiatrist to provide direct medical care in an outpatient adult mental health care setting to a diverse patient population of students, post-doctoral fellows, residents and trainees who are enrolled and in training within the Schools on the Johns Hopkins East Baltimore Medical Campus and Johns Hopkins and Bayview Hospitals. Psychiatrist will be assigned a target number of face-to-face patient contact appointments and is expected to meet the target productivity standards for the mental health practice of UHS.
Licensure, Certifications, Registration:
M.D. Degree or the equivalent from an accredited medical school. Psychiatrist must be licensed to practice medicine and prescribe all pharmaceuticals in Maryland, and must be Board certified (or eligible for certification with prompt satisfaction of all necessary requirements for certification) by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry, and must maintain Board certification throughout duration of employment.
Psychiatrist must complete sufficient continuing medical education credits to satisfy Maryland medical license/license renewal requirements.
Psychiatrist shall have DEA Certification and State of Maryland Controlled Substance (CDS) Certification. Psychiatrist shall be credentialed at Johns Hopkins Hospital prior to start date.
Completion of ACGME Psychiatry Residency training program.
Clinical experience with graduate student populations in an outpatient setting is preferred.
