Instructional Systems Designer Jobs Vacancy in Strategic Resolution Experts Sre Washington Jobs Details:

The Instructional Systems Designer is responsible for developing training content for a variety of platforms. Development includes creating additional teaching aids such as talking points (audio scripts), and technical expertise to create closed-captioned files and video. The training will be delivered to individuals and teams on topics such as how to improve internal processes; how to use key features of systems to better perform their jobs; and, use of deployed tools such as the Training Management System and presenting the features and benefits of the functionality to leverage the tool.

This person will also work closely with the customer and Subject Matter Experts to develop and present technical training, communication, and knowledge to employees. They evaluate the effectiveness of training and provide recommendations for improvement as well. The Instructional Systems Designer supports other team members and stakeholders by providing insight and input for requirements, testing, process improvement, and quality assurance. Occasional travel may be required. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating online training modules for deployment across both internal and external Government customer populations for mediums including internal websites, Training Management Systems, YouTube, and external facing websites
  • Understanding and teaching best practices for delivery of web-based training to include 508 compliance
  • Conducting comprehensive needs analysis to ensure training fulfills customer needs and objectives
  • Functioning as Design Lead and creating presentations, scripts, perform voice overs, as well as converting them to MP4, Whif, or PDF files as required by customer
  • Reporting and tracking training development activities and communication with client, following all protocol for approvals, milestones, and ultimately successful delivery of webinars
  • Clearly understanding and executing webinars in the proper format as approved for branding, style, privacy, and section 508 requirements
  • Understanding business goals, processes, and roles to support enhancements, as well as supporting process and workflow improvements planned and later deployed by the client
  • Maintaining a solid understanding of technology used by the customer in order to deliver effective training
  • Assisting in the documentation of business processes, process flows, requirements, use cases, reports, and other deliverables as needed to deliver outstanding, high quality webinar training
  • Understanding and applying knowledge to support the enterprise mission for webinar training participants
Must be US Citizen and Clearable

Education:
  • BA/BS degree in related discipline such as Technical Writing, Instructional Design, Adult Education and Training, Information Technology
Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience in creating content for adult learners including curriculum development
  • Written and oral communication – must be proficient in reading scripts out loud
  • Demonstrated business acumen and teaching skills
  • Superior writing and presentation skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, YouTube, TMS, Content Development, Script Writing, Script Editing, Adobe After Effects
  • Experience with e-learning tools such as Adobe Captivate
  • Ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
  • Excellent critical-thinking skills with the ability to research and analyze data and information to solve problems and articulate potential solutions
  • Ability to quickly learn new software applications and features
  • Ability to work independently as well as in groups
  • Ability to relate to people at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to create monthly reports that provide insight, identify risks, and clearly explain status of all WIP
  • Ability to create monthly internal report that are accurate and include expense and cost management
Experience:
Junior Level: Requires a minimum of 3 years' experience developing online training content
Senior Level: Requires a minimum of 7 years' experience developing online training content

Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience providing consulting services to the U.S. federal government
