Applied Engineering, Inc. is accepting applications for a talented Quality Engineer in Bismarck, ND. This position can also be located in Gwinner, ND or Fargo, ND. The Quality Engineer is responsible for process improvement and quality improvement projects in a manufacturing environment. Specifically, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for tasks such as qualifying new parts, new product development launch support, implementing/driving standard labeling, performing on-time delivery analysis, and managing supplied scorecards. As a consultant at Applied you have the opportunity to work on projects in other engineering fields, such as design or manufacturing engineering.
In this role, you will have the chance to work with a team of passionate, innovative engineers who are focused on solving a wide variety of engineering challenges in a product development environment or manufacturing environment. - Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing and/or quality preferred
- Working knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel
- Excellent hands-on mechanical skills and experience
- Experience with metrology and statistical methods
- Familiarity with quality cost concepts and techniques
- Ability to conduct technical hands-on and analytical tasks with little supervision
