Org Marketing Statement

Precision Fluidics Division is known for its innovative design and manufacture of miniature liquid and pneumatic diaphragm pumps, proportional, pneumatic and liquid control valves, syringe pumps and system solutions. These products control movement and direction of precise amounts of fluid in medical devices and life science analytical instruments as well as diagnostic, gas detection and printing systems. From kidney dialysis, patient monitoring and gas chromatography equipment, Precision Fluidics products are based on their superior performance and reliability. Some applications which contain our products include anesthesia instruments, patient ventilators, medical mannequin testing, chemical agent detection (mining and airport security), air quality monitoring, gas chromatography and dental equipment.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the growth of Parker Precision Fluidics (PPF) business and providing the conduit between the division and its customers in the assigned territory. To maintain, develop, and cultivate professional, strategic relationships with Engineering, R&D, and Procurement departments at OEMs while executing the Division Growth Strategy Deployment. Target Markets include Clinical Diagnostics, Respiratory and Anesthesia, Patient therapy, Molecular Analysis and Separations, and Agent Detection. Territory includes: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin Scope/Supervision and Interaction: • Maintain regular contact with customers in assigned territory to ensure high levels of satisfaction and pulse of market. • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values. • Proactively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal support departments. • Communicate effectively and travel with direct Manager, Product and Market Managers, and Division Applications Engineers as needed. • Build trust, value others, solve problems creatively, foster innovation, and demonstrate integrity. • Demonstrate sound decision making, prioritization, and attention to detail. Essential Functions: • Meet or exceed the annual sales plan for the respective territory. • Develop OEM accounts by working closely with the respective decision makers in Engineering, R&D, and Procurement Departments as well as upper management within assigned territory. • Plan, coordinate and confirm weekly itinerary to include 10-12 customer face-to-face meetings. * Develop Plan for Key Accounts (PFKA), annual business sales and call plans with Manager to focus on meeting or exceeding Divisions growth strategies and deployment. • Sell and maintain OEM accounts on a direct basis and develop territory and account growth strategies. • Provide solutions to OEM applications using the principles of fluidics, Parker Precision Fluidics product offerings, and other Parker products as specified. • Understand details of the major OEM applications both in and out of the assigned territory. • Responsible for all timely customer communication including review of customer service communication, review of pricing/quotation, technical follow-up, memos, etc. • Coordinate commercial agreements in line with Parker Hannifin policy utilizing Division management and Corporation legal department resources as necessary. • Organize and participate in customer meetings, customer presentations, and visits to Parker facilities. • Maintain a complete and up to date project tracker for all projects/programs with annual sales $50K+ and new projects with $50K+ potential. • Develop proficiency in consultative and value selling techniques used by PPF and continue professional development through training, attending trade shows/seminars and reading trade publications, etc. • Attend required tradeshows and actively pursue leads and contacts in and out of assigned territory. • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes. • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years direct OEM Sales Experience selling miniature fluidics, pneumatic or hydraulic components and integrated systems or similar products to large, complex OEMs, preferably in Medical and Life Sciences markets. • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology required. • Comprehensive fluidics, pneumatics, mechanical, and electrical comprehension with the ability to understand, describe, and discuss problems and present solutions over a long and complex OEM design process. • Excellent written & verbal communication including MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel and e-mail. • Excellent emotional intelligence, interpersonal & time management skills. • Proven ability to grow faster than market growth rate in territory.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Travel: Must be willing to travel to the extent necessary to accomplish essential job functions including attending seminars, training, and division meetings (typically 8 - 10 nights per month). Office: Territory Managers are required to maintain a home office in assigned territory. Preferred locations include Minneapolis, MN, Chicago, IL, or Southern Wisconsin.
