Insurance Investigation Officer Jobs Vacancy in State Ohio Jobs Columbus Jobs Details:
Assists &/or conducts joint investigations with local, state & federal agencies and internal units within the agency; refers cases for further investigation or criminal prosecution to local, state &/or federal law enforcement agencies; assists in the serving of search warrants; testifies in administrative hearings &/or other judicial proceedings (e.g., municipal court; grand jury; common pleas; federal court hearings); writes correspondence; utilizes computer database to access, retrieve &/or input information regarding cases.
Advises insurance companies, insurance agents, general public & other entities in policies & procedures, laws, rules & bulletins; represents assigned division at meetings & conferences; participates in public and industry functions (e.g., consumer events, industry events, speaking engagements, etc.); attends training; reviews trade publications to enhance present knowledge &/or to learn of new developments in insurance law & practices & criminal law & procedures; all other duties as assigned.
- Or 4 yrs. exp. in insurance field or insurance related entity (e.g., sales; marketing; claims adjuster; investigations); 9 mos. exp. or 9 mos. trg. in operation of computer terminal &/or personal computer.
- Or 4 yrs. exp. in law enforcement which included 3 yrs. exp. in conducting investigations; 9 mos. exp. or 9 mos. trg. in operation of computer terminal &/or personal computer.
- Or 24 mos. exp. as Insurance Investigation Officer 1, 26271, with experience corresponding to type of complaints & alleged violations appearing in job posting/approved job description.
- OR EQUIVALENT OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT NOTED ABOVE.
The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check.
