Purpose of the Business Office Manager Position
The primary purpose of the Business Office Manager position is to assist the Administrator in the day-to-day accounting functions and administrative activities of the community, in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as directed by the Administrator.
Delegation of Authority
As Business Office Manager, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent. AA Degree in Business Administration preferred but not required.
Must have, as a minimum, one (1) year administrative, management and/or bookkeeping experience, preferably in the Healthcare industry, or equivalent knowledge and skills. Experience with MS Word and EXCEL. Must have knowledge of office machines and equipment.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must have current driver license and proof of liability insurance. Must abide by company auto policy.
May drive personal vehicle for company business as needed.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle personnel based on whatever maturity level at which they are
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
Knowledgeable of administrative practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to employment law, wage and hour rules,
labor relations, OSHA, Privacy Act, etc.
Must be thoroughly familiar with laws, regulations, and guidelines governing personnel administration.
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Must possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the community.
