Job Overview:

Ashfield Healthcare has partnered a leading Biotechnology company to offer support for an exciting seasonal product launch. Ashfield is seeking Inside Sales Representatives for an innovative and highly flexible seasonal role which only requires you to work 7 months out of the year followed by 5 months off. Your primary responsibility will be to drive sales results for our client during peak season of its product launch. Your ability to exhibit excellent sales skills will have a direct impact to the Ashfield organization and to our client. Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily sales call activity to optimize time and maximize the achievement of sales and market share objectives
  • Develop a sound understanding of the relevant product and disease area to facilitate detailed discussions with medical professionals
  • Demonstrate effectiveness working independently and in a team environment
  • Establish phone presence; commanding & disarming, ability to create rapport, network, build, and maintain productive business relationships
  • Demonstrate clinical and technical skills
  • Adhere to new therapeutic areas and channels of business and adapt to organizational change
  • Identify, prioritize and drive opportunities to create access, policy, programs and processes that drive product demand
  • Engage targeted healthcare professionals in in-depth informational/promotional communications in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Verify and complete required data entry including details of the target’s responses, notes and any follow through actions in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Profile and manage targeted list of healthcare professionals and provide value-added benefits to grow product volume
  • Manage daily sales call activity to optimize time and maximize the achievement of sales and market share objectives
  • Listen and respond appropriately to customer needs and questions, thereby ensuring acceptance of, or agreement with a “call plan” objective
  • Maintain the required product expertise including competitive product knowledge
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the Client’s products and ensure clear, concise and accurate communication of product information with target audiences using proper medical terminology
  • Successfully complete the product training (self-study, testing, field work and classroom training at a remote site or electronically) and meet training expectations
  • Effectively and timely communication with the Inside Sales Manager
  • Create and maintain a positive impression with the Client and the Client’s customers
  • Execute sales strategies in compliance with Federal Healthcare Program requirements, FDA’s promotional regulations, and policy
  • Facilitate account management skills (account planning, field resource coordination; close, support customer education and promotion needs, reporting)
  • Must safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality by following the guidelines set forth in the Privacy and Security Rules of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Skills/Requirements:

  • Associate Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in B2B, pharmaceutical or inside sales (6+ months).
  • Experience in direct sales (cold calling, customer service solutions, customer service)
  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical industry preferred, but not required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Documented track record of sales success

Physical requirements may include:

  • Ability to lift, carry and otherwise move up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand or walk for various lengths of time throughout the day
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and co-workers
  • Ability to proficiently operate computer hardware and software on a daily basis
  • Ability to operate fax/copy machines, telephone, calculator and general office equipment on a daily basis
  • Ability to drive a vehicle for extended periods of time on a regular basis
