    Duties

    Summary

    About the Position: You will administer computerized and written tests in the local commuting area of this announcement when necessary, using your own reliable vehicle to transport test material and maintaining security and inventory of the test materials. Conduct aptitude examination sessions at various locations/high schools to determine individual qualifications for enlistment into the military service. This may require extended periods of standing, walking, and sitting.

    Responsibilities

    • Instruct applicants on testing procedures and starts, observes, times and ends the test or test segment as directed.
    • Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all forms are properly completed, and makes corrections as needed.
    • Monitor applicants to detect possible imposters and deals with those imposters.
    • Pick up and return controlled test material at the designated or shipping point.
    • Maintain test room control and decorum with the assistance of military recruiters who assist in maintaining student test session control and test security.
    • Transfer materials to and from the site, including the school being tested, and generally involves travel for a maximum of 1 to 2 hours per test session.

    • May be required to travel for business 75% of the time.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.     General Experience: One year of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as, experience giving instructions and briefings to individuals and groups; experience using automatic database systems such as (i.e., MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to retrieve, create, input, update spreadsheets, correspondence, tracker logs, and slides; experience safeguarding and securing controlled items such as (i.e., testing materials); and experience interpreting and applying federal regulations, local policies and procedures pertaining to an organization.

    Education: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

    OR

    Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.
