Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Manages a comprehensive program of financial analysis and reporting for Civil Air Patrol in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards and the OMB Circular, 2 CFR Part 200. This position develops and coordinates CAP financial statement presentation for all segments of the corporation in accordance with GAAP. The Deputy CFO prepares briefings for the National Finance Committee, the CSAG, the Audit Committee, and the Board of Governors.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Master’s degree in accounting with CPA or CMA and ten years accounting experience required.
- Prior public accounting experience with a CPA firm desirable.
- Must have work experience with fund accounting software and Windows based software applications, including Outlook, Excel and MS Word.
- Position requires an experience base including audit, tax reporting, and financial reporting.
- Previous supervisory skills required.
- Position requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision to meet financial reporting deadlines. Requires ability to work flexible hours.
