Administrative Assistant Classification And Records Jobs Vacancy in Kansas Department Corrections Larned Jobs Details:
The Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility currently has an Unclassified Administrative Assistant position open in Classification and Records. This position provides clerical support to the Classification and Records area as well as administrative relief for filing, report generation, and statistical tracking. This position has a work schedule of Monday - Friday; 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Primary Duties Include:
Creates and distributes Transfer Movement Memo. Sends National Crime Information Center requests for all condition violators to Central Control as needed. Enters offender data into Offender Management and Information System such as religious preferences and emergency notification information.
Logs and files offender ID cards, birth certificates, social security cards, etc. Completes and monitors the processing of these ID cards as well. Logs job changes in Records database, prints and distributes hazardous material acknowledgment sheet as needed.
Processes incoming visitation applications, including monitoring, entering approvals in the website, sending denial letters, and printing updated visitation lists. Also verifies the visitation lists of transferred offenders for accuracy before printing and distributing the visitation list.
Images offender files and offender filing using a scanner to electronically file hard copy records. Files in offender files and other files as required. Creates a Release Calendar for all offenders releasing in the current and following month in a timely manner. Updates as needed and distributes as directed. Processes and images offender consent forms, DL reinstatement, and orientation packets.
Other duties as assigned. These duties may include but are not limited to: shipping and receiving files, file reviewing, gathering clemency data for the Prisoner Review Board, substitution for the Mail Room Administrative Assistant and preparing release packets. Answers phone and takes messages.

Salary: $25,688.00 annually. This position is full-time, unclassified position with benefits. Pay can vary depending upon experience and qualifications.
Six months of experience in general office, clerical or administrative support work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Necessary Special Qualifications, Licenses, Certifications, and or Registrations:
Must have a valid driver's license.
