Cbo Claims Processing Representative Johnson City Jobs Vacancy in Ballad Health Jobs Details:

The CBO Claims Processing Representative position encompasses, but is not limited to, the following duties: verification of insurance benefits, claims billing, and rebills tasked. The CBO Claims Processing Representative is responsible for:
  • Accurate and timely claims billing
  • Editing and processing claims per payer requirements and with utmost concern for compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Daily balancing of claim submission and error report resolution
  • Account inquiries, data entry, filing and other office related activities
  • Providing professional telephone answering and computer interactive services for the MSHA system

Job duties of this position may require access to protected patient information (PHI). The team member will be accountable for appropriate use of the record and compliance with all confidentiality and security policy and procedures related to use, access, and disclosure of PHI.

The CBO Claims Processing Representative reports to the CBO Supervisor/Manager/System Administrator. In his/her absence, the Patient Accounts Representative reports to the CBO Director.

High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
One year of medical office experience or strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical insurance plans and reimbursement preferred.
Basic computer knowledge required.
Proficiency in typing with accuracy.
Customer service skills to include patients, physicians, case managers, various hospital departments and insurance companies.
Excellent problem solving skills and decision making abilities due to close, continuous interaction with physician offices, providers of service, patients, and third party payers.
