Deputy Clerk Positions Jobs Vacancy in The State Rhode Island Jobs Details:
Attend sessions of the Court and administer oaths to plaintiffs, defendants, witnesses; receive, file and retain all exhibits properly introduced as evidence; maintain records of proceedings and make electronic entries in the case management system; daily use of case management system including the electronic filing and scanning of documents; assist members of the Bar and the general public; perform other functions as assigned by the Clerk of the Court, which may include court calendar management, processing writs, executions, citations and requests for default; perform all of the duties and responsibilities of a general operations assistant including but not limited to document scanning, quality control of electronic court case files, record retrieval, processing case actions and updating the case management system; may be called upon to provide training for lateral and below lateral staff; and to perform any and all related duties as may be assigned by the Clerk of the Court or his/her designee.
Required Qualifications for Appointment: Graduation from an accredited high school supplemented by college courses; bachelor's degree preferred; experience such as may have been gained as a general operations assistant in the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal or like experience in another state court or tribunal; must have strong organizational and administrative skills, must be able to multitask, thorough knowledge of the court's Odyssey case management system and e-filing processes, detail oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills or any combination of education and experience that is substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.
