Intel Communications & Devices Group is developing state-of-the-art Wireless products for Intel's platforms, ranging from Smartphones to Notebooks, as well as adjacent markets, for a variety of new applications. New technologies under development are 5G mmW and WiGig communications based on licensed and unlicensed spectrum frequencies, over wide bandwidth channels.
The mmW Wireless Systems Group is seeking a FW development intern for a challenging and fascinating position.

Our team is located at Intel's Santa Clara campus providing FW solutions for Intel's 5G generation of cellular products - ranging from understanding the specifications and requirements, designing, implementation and verifying the code before delivering it into the final product.
Our team's charter includes but not limited to developing and delivering FW solutions, working closely with other development teams around the world and supporting our customers during product enablement.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
- Currently enrolled in a Master's degree or PhD program in Computer Science, SW Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
- Experience in Software development and coding in a general purpose programming language.
- Ability to speak and write in English.
- Experience programming in C, C++ and Python.
- Knowledge in the fields of wireless communications including RF, digital processing and protocols.
- Experience in working with source controls such as git or ClearCase on a large scale project with multiple contributors.
