Patient Intake Coordinator / Front Desk Responsibilities

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records is a plus
  • Administering the patient call-in and wait lists
  • Answering phones, taking messages or directing to appropriate staff if necessary
  • Receiving and entering patient demographic and insurance information
  • Understanding medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT codes is a plus
  • Verifying insurance benefit details
  • Receiving patient co-pays, deductibles and payments
  • Ensuring all critical billing information and payment is received prior to patient check-out

Patient Intake Coordinator / Front Desk Qualifications

  • 2 years of recent medical office experience (within the last 3 years), with some reception experience
  • 2 years of recent verification of benefits experience (within the last 3 years)
  • Must have experience scheduling patients & understand benefits verification and explanation
  • Familiar with computers and the internet
  • Must know Microsoft Word and Excel

Front Desk Receptionist part-time and full-time shifts
Monday through Friday 2:45 to 11 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 10:45 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Holidays and Summer Weekends 11:45 a.m. to 7 p.m.
