Contract to hire role
Title: Paralegal/Legal Assistant
Client: Project Management Institute (PMI)
Location: Newtown Square, PA
Hourly rate: $18 to 22 (no benefits or PTO during contract duration)
Conversion salary will be $42,000 per year + benefits, PTO, etc.
How you’ll make a difference
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely entry of contract documents and related information into the Legal Department contracts database, preparation and filing of legal documents and correspondence, as well as providing support to assigned Legal Department team members for other department administrative needs. You will be performing a variety of administrative functions as assigned, which can include but are not limited to, maintenance of legal records, departmental files intellectual property documents, invoicing, preparation of contract-related reports, general administrative support, as well as assistance with the records management program..
In addition, you will be supporting and participating directly in the licensing of content to interested third parties.
What you’ll bring to the role
Post-secondary education strongly preferred such as an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
Minimum of three years’ experience as legal assistant, in a law firm or corporate law department environment.
Knowledge of intellectual property statutes and rules of procedure preferred.
Demonstrated skill and experience in effectively supporting sensitive and confidential situations. Position requires poise, tact and diplomacy. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Well-developed organizational skills with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities at the same time.
Demonstrated skill with attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Advanced experience with software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, contract and other databases and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
