Underwriting Auditor Commerical Insurance Jobs Vacancy in Amwins Group Inc Charlotte Jobs Details:

AmWINS is looking for an Underwriting Auditor to join our team in Charlotte. The Underwriting Auditor will be a vital part of the AmWINS Access team serving as a touchstone for all aspects of audits from organizing the schedules to presenting the final results.
We are looking for candidates who have an exceptional ability to analyze large quantities of information and present the outcome in a meaningful way to our teams. This position will initially focus on P&C with the potential to expand to additional lines.

Underwriting Auditor duties:
  • Oversees the management, development and execution of the underwriting audit function for the business
  • Develops and coordinates the auditing schedule and tracks completion of required audit assessments
  • Ensures appropriate size and scope of file sample; ensures adequate files are reviewed; responsible for selection of a diverse audit team
  • Participates in audits
  • May act as a lead reviewer or as line of business lead for underwriting audits
  • Identifies and reports on underwriting issues/trends identified within the business and works with key stakeholders to assess their implications and develops corrective measures as appropriate
  • Follows up on audit completion in line with schedule
  • Compiles audit results
  • Organize and oversee external audits including documenting results
  • Prepares or assists with the preparation of management reports related to audit
  • Responsible for overall quality, content, and consistency of audit reports for the business unit
  • Proactively coaches field managers and AEs to enhance their underwriting skills
  • Identifies training needs
  • Works with the business to assess the quality of existing underwriting controls, makes recommendations for changes/improvements as necessary
  • Ensures corrective action plans are executed effectively with proper followups and documentation
Underwriting Auditor requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years experience with a carrier or MGA as an E&S underwriter
  • Superior analytical, organizational and leadership skills
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interact and develop relationships at all levels both internally and externally
  • Proficient computer knowledge including, but not limited to, all aspects of Microsoft Office
