IDEA Lab International Franchise Company is seeking a team of dedicated individuals to join us for a contract length of four months to complete a project. We are seeking contract employees to join our Research & Development and Curriculum and Instruction Departments. IDEA Lab is an International Franchise Company with headquarters based in Houston Texas. We offer an innovative educational program designed to instill fundamental STEAM (SCIENCE-TECHNOLOGY-ENGINEERING-ART-MATH), concepts in students, through the use of a proprietary curriculum. Our programs create a fun learning environment that promotes preschool through adolescent development via afterschool, camp and birthday parties.
Research technicians will bring extensive knowledge of science and maker technologies towards a well rounded K-5 curriculum. They will adapt technical projects to provide progressional lessons and solve technical issues inherent in, to include light programming of microcontrollers, 3D printing technologies, physics, chemistry, math, biology and more. Ideally, Research technicians will work within the framework of a general lesson outline and they will build prototypes to support the intended lesson. Technicians will be responsible for the sourcing of parts and the feasibility of each project to be completed in the classroom by students will adult instruction. Technicians will work in a Maker Laboratory with access to tools, extensive parts, 3D printers, laser cutters and more. They will work under the direction of the Innovation Director and communicate extensively with writers and graphics design personnel to affect all things needed for completion of lessons
