Mitzvah Circle Foundation needs Social Work interns to assist with intake and assessment-related tasks.
The need to screen and prioritize requests is urgent. Our highly-skilled staff rely on intern and volunteer support to assist with the volume of requests that we receive for help. Interns work under the guidance of a licensed Master of Social Worker (MSW) and along with our Executive Director.
Interns must have a social work, psychology, human service or liberal arts major, sign a confidentiality agreement, and be able to pass a background check. Interns work flexible schedules, with a minimum of 8 hours per week, between Mondays and Fridays, 8:30am to 1:30pm. Summer interns must commit to at least 150 hours. This is an unpaid position but we can coordinate with your school for academic credit. All internships are in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, about 1 hour north of Philadelphia.
Mitzvah Circle Foundation provides concrete help by working directly with recipients, or with referring organizations, to fulfill specific needs, especially when other assistance options are exhausted.
