Institutional Research Data Specialist Jobs Vacancy in Northeastern Illinois University Chicago Jobs Details:
- Twenty-four semester hours of college credit for course work in computer science, mathematics, or related field, with specialization in operations research and/or mathematical modeling, and including twelve semester hours of credit in mathematical modeling and/or mathematical programming
(Each position requires a background check.)

- Knowledge of descriptive statistics
- Knowledge of data management tools and Microsoft Office Programs
- Knowledge of methods used to assess student learning
- Ability to deal effectively with members of the university community
- Analytical ability
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently as well as be part of a team
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records and documentation
- Ability to acquire new knowledge and skills independently
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
- Experience working with personnel, processes, policies and structures in higher education
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience managing, analyzing, and disseminating student assessment data
- Basic SQL skills a plus
Under the direction and supervision of the Executive Director, oversees the collection and dissemination of institutional and student data for state and federal agencies, such as USDOE, IBHE, ISBE, and IL Comptroller’s Office, and other external agencies including ranking publications (e.g. Common Dataset, US News and World Report).
Supports ongoing assessment and accreditation needs of the Goodwin College of Education, to include but not be limited to continual improvement in assessment methods, reliability training, verification of data, survey development, Title II reporting, and dissemination of assessment data.
Assists in the interpretation of data and trends, summarization of results, and preparation of reports for submission to university administrators.
Gathers informational data from university departments or from existing databases to be used in generating reports
Performs other related duties as assigned
