What Your Job Will Be Like
Space System Realization, consists of highly skilled technologists, product qualification specialists and production engineers with a proven track record of delivering robust, reliable electronics primarily for qualified space flight applications. In order to execute ambitious technology insertion into systems with rigidly fixed delivery schedules, greater synergy between prototype design and flight-qualified hardware must be achieved, particularly to support the design of the next-generation Global Burst Detector satellite system. As a result, these two aspects will be fused into a single unit while still reserving the appropriate autonomy required in the development build cycle to ensure reliability levels commensurate with previous designs.
Ability to manage and maintain site-wide ESD program, installation, set-up and maintenance of electronic module production equipment such as BGA tool, IC lead forming and circuit board cleaning machine, ownership of laboratory safety and security, manage calibration of equipment, perform training of technicians for safe and proper operation of hand tools and equipment, ability to perform cable assembly and connector inspection.
Qualifications We Require
- You possess an Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or at least 7 years’ experience working in the electronic circuit board fabrication field
- You have a current and active DOE L security clearance, or higher (or DOD equivalent)

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE)-granted L-level security clearance to start.
Position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) granted L-level security clearance or active clearance with another US government agency, e.g., DOD, to be considered for this position.
