Email Marketing Manager Jobs Vacancy in Experts Portland Jobs Details:

As part of ID Experts’ Marketing Team, the Email Marketing Manager will own our consumer contact strategy across outbound channels to grow revenues via new enrollments, conversion of members covered by data breach clients into paying members and maintaining/enhancing retention rates. You will develop on-boarding, renewal, conversion, and upsell journeys, and nurture members via newsletters & blog content by driving traffic to our MyIDCare consumer website and membership app. Responsibilities include owning the revenue number for conversion of members covered by expired data breach programs, and refining our email program to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time and discovering and developing alternative outbound channels. Day to day tasks include campaign development, customer segmentation and database marketing, tactical implementation of flawless deployment, assessing and testing deliverability and inbox placement, and analytics.

The is role is ideal for a highly flexible individual who can engage on both a strategic and tactical level, shifting from strategic lifecycle planning to creative execution to tactical deployment and reporting, all while maintaining a focus on both the customer and the brand.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Email Marketing

  • Lead the development of our member email program, including automated lifecycle programs, transactional messaging and large-scale campaigns that will drive business growth
  • Grow revenues via conversion of data breach members into paying memberships, monitor and enhance retention rates for paying members, and use email marketing to encourage/motivate existing members to attract family and friends.
  • Execute the day to day email operations including project management, campaign development, build, QA, deployment and reporting
  • Create and own an impactful strategic plan to increase engagement across channels, brand awareness and member engagement, improve inbox placement and deliverability and increase unique website visits and membership logins
  • Apply email best practices to determine new opportunities that will improve the customer experience and continue to drive the business
  • Optimize through multivariate testing, iteration, and ongoing evaluation to improve the effectiveness of email marketing programs across devices and around recency, frequency, segmentation, messaging, layout, deliverability, personalization, time of day, marketing spend, and other variables
  • Own all email related campaign reporting and analysis

Database Marketing

  • Manage customer segmentation within Salesforce Marketing Cloud through synchronized and filtered data extensions and SQL queries; understand the best ways to segment and leverage data to provide more effective campaigns, identify new segmentation opportunities and ensure the right customer is getting the right message at the right time to drive engagement
  • Manage integration of data (inbound and outbound) from various internal customer master and third-party sources for various channels, including email, website, direct mail etc.

Creative Execution and Management

  • Collaborate with creative resources to develop email marketing templates from brief development through concept evaluation to delivery of the final execution
  • Partner with design and content to ensure that digital assets are optimized for email campaign deployment, while staying true to the MyIDCare brand
  • Be the “topic expert” regarding impactful email layout, design, subject lines, compliance, etc.
  • Maintain the library of assets and campaigns including asset hierarchy, asset management, etc.
  • Manage the content development process supporting inbound and outbound channels

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Successful track-record of developing email marketing strategies, executing, measuring, and delivering on performance targets, with a focus on content marketing or demand generation
  • In-depth knowledge of email best practices and operations including: multi-variate testing techniques, list segmentation, suppression and subscription management, journey workflows, triggered events, success metrics, and CAN-SPAM legislation
  • Highly data-driven, with an aptitude for and interest in working with data to optimize email programs, improve engagement metrics and deliver upon overall company goals and metrics
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HTML code including email coding best practices and rendering troubleshooting
  • SQL experience highly preferred
  • Passionate about consumer marketing, with an innate understanding of the consumer mindset and a dedication to great consumer experiences
  • Strong project management skills including: conceptualization, driving alignment, planning resources, managing deadlines and objectives, delivering analysis and recommendations
  • Highly collaborative, with an affinity for building relationships across teams including business partners, external agencies, and vendors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expertise in managing and prioritizing multiple projects, with great attention to detail
  • Highly accountable owner with a creative sensibility for problem solving
  • An energetic, positive attitude!

Required Education and Experience

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 4-7 years of email marketing experience required; 2+ years’ experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or comparable marketing automation platform required; 2+ years’ experience working in B2C e-commerce or SaaS environment preferred
